Best of Box

In my constant hunt of new, fun and trendy restaurants to try, I generally have my go to recommendations by friends, instagram promotions and magazine articles to source what is up and coming. The OC Register (yes, my parents were old school and got the paper until about 4 years ago) had an annual 75 Best Restaurants edition that would come out. I used to scour it and make a list for easy go-to lists for dinner options. We no longer subscribe to the paper, so I needed another option stat!!! Orange Coast Magazine has been a lifesaver for fun/new ideas not only for restaurants but also activities and places to go.

Usually, Orange Coast Magazine hosts a 'Best Of Orange County' party where restaurants, shops and vendors showcase their best of offerings for attendees to sample and take home. This year the magazine's marketing got creative and made a 'Best of Box.' I quickly ordered mine to see what was inside! For only $50 you received over $400 in promotions, gifts and samples.

I have put together my top 5 items from the box:

1. El Silancio 100% agave from Urbana- this cute little bottle came with 1 free carnitas or cauliflower taco coupon attached too!!!! They focus on farm fresh Mexican inspired dishes.

2. Able Coffee beans- This is coffee with a cause! I am all about this!!! They import their coffee from small farmers all over the world and use it to create jobs for people with autism.

3. Dirty Bird Hand Sanitizer: Blinking Owl Distillery started making hand sanitizer with 80% alcohol antiseptic when Covid first started. They are a local alcohol distillery making their own spirits and cocktails. Totally revamping themselves with the changing times to be able to give back and help stop Covid.

4. 2 week free pass to Union Ryde: By now I think you all know how much working out and staying healthy is huge in my life. I have been to Union Ryde in Tustin multiple times and love all of their staff. You get to sweat for 2 weeks for FREE!!! Heck yeah!!

5. Dee Berkley Jewelry Gemstone bracelet- A blue agate bracelet was enclosed this year with a 1/3 off your first order!!! They have adorable jewelry to chose from!! I would highly recommend checking it out!!

I am hoping when next year rolls around we can actually attend the Best Of Party. But for now, I would recommend checking out the box and ordering yourself one!!!
